WHY ONLY THREE MEASUREMENTS?

To kick things off, we thought we’d talk about our minimal measurements featured in our designs.

WHY ONLY THREE MEASUREMENTS?

Our focus is to create products that seamlessly combine functionality and style. In selecting measurement markings for our servers, we aimed to facilitate all brewing methods without compromising the aesthetic. Due to the unique shapes and textures of our servers, precise measurements are not feasible. On the other hand, using simple ‘dots’ or ‘1 cup’ markings did not offer practicality. As a result, we settled on a middle ground, introducing our 3-point brewing system with measurements of 200ml, 350ml, and 500ml.

SO WHY THESE MEASUREMENTS?

According to most servers, a ‘serving’ of specialty coffee has been around 150ml or less. Anyone who’s experienced a mere 150ml of coffee knows it’s scarcely a sip. If, like us, you’re a regular coffee drinker who prefers a full mug, you’ll likely opt for larger quantities.

The Aeropress, a brewer commonly used to brew stronger coffee, can yield 200ml. This served as a suitable starting point for our smallest measurement. A standard coffee mug typically accommodates around 350ml, making it the ideal choice for our standard brew. For those who crave a ‘Venti’ coffee to kickstart their day or wish to brew for a group of friends, the 500ml measurement fits the bill.

Offering these three sizes enables us to tailor our brew guides to cater to these preferences, ensuring you can create the perfect brew for your chosen serving size.
